Update: Tuesday, October 20th
Thank you for being a valued golfer of the Cobbs Creek Golf Course. You may have heard that Billy Casper Golf’s contract with us will end on October 31, 2020. The last day for golfing will be Friday, October 30. The Cobbs Creek Foundation will take over operations; however, the golf course will not reopen in the spring.
Beginning in early 2021, the golf course will be closed for extensive restoration, funded by the Cobbs Creek Foundation. We expect the restoration project to take up to three years.
When Cobbs Creek Golf Course opened in 1916, it was one of the finest public courses in the United States. The Cobbs Creek Foundation aims to restore the course to its original, historic design. The project also includes a comprehensive floodplain restoration plan and a youth-based community education program.
We understand the closure of Cobbs Creek Golf Course may cause some inconvenience for you. The restored course will offer a better golf experience, as well as benefit community residents and enhance West Philadelphia.
While Cobbs Creek is closed, the City will continue operating courses at:

The course will continue to make reasonable accommodations to ensure that golfers with disabilities are able to enjoy the course. Please call the Pro-shop in advance at 215-877-8707 as cart availability may change daily.
